GHEMS Lower elementary (1st -2nd) emphasizes the individual strengths and talents of each child, nurturing a sense of self-worth and a confidence to take risks. Similar to our Preschool program, each of our Lower elementary classrooms are taught by a Certified Educator and Literacy Para-educator. Our supportive teachers help each student develop mastery of basic skills and concepts with open-ended problem solving, expansive thinking, and creative writing.
Students learn important skills and knowledge through project based learning instruction from their teachers, opportunities for problem solving, and independent mastery.
